Equinsu Ochawanting to start a Big Bore "African" collection
I've decided to try and make myself a small collection of the big boy calibers that are used for the dangerous stuff.. If any of you gentlemen on here would be willing to part with just one round, I would gladly compensate you for your troubles.
Thanks a million guys, and I hope to hear back from some of you.
Here is a list of the rounds I'm looking at trying to add.. If you can think of any other DG hunting rounds that I should have on here, please let me know!

You've set a pretty high bar for yourself. Most of those cartridges are expensive, even when bought one at a time. Plus, live ammo can only be shipped via UPS Ground ORM-D which means that you'll pay $10+ shipping minimum, even if it's only one cartridge.
But, there are places to get them.
http://www.colcartinc.com/http://www.oldammo.com/index.htmhttp://www.ammo-one.com/00.htmlThere are three that will get you started. The big gun shows in Tucson usually will have a guy or two selling cartridges and the same for PHX. There is a Cartridge Show each year in Prescott but it's in February so you just missed it. The October Gun Show in Albuquerque has a lot of cartridges but that's a long way to dive just for bullets.
I have some on your list. Do you have anything to trade. As in other cartridges.
Good Luck

Fat_AlbertYou have started to collect Big Bore cartridges about 30yrs to late. At one time it was a matter of $2-$3 each. Now they are higher than a hunchbacks rear end. Get a copy of "Cartriges of the World" as about everyone who collets started with a copy as a referance. Here is a good spot to look at.
http://www.cartridgecollectors.org/ Look on the side under Ammo Shows. It lists a Ammo Collectors show in Prescott on Jan 21-24. Before you go to any gun or ammo show look on the net(ammo-one or colcart) and find out what the going rate is for a cartriges and make a list of the prices as you can compare the prices and sometimes get the seller to meet the on-line price if the show prices are higher. Most of the big time sellers at these ammo show don't advertise but are able to get you something later if its not at show. Ask for Bus.cards and phone numbers. Just to make you feel bad --in the late 50s I bought a 600Nitro a 577Nitro and a 500Nitro for $19 (for all three). Lots of luck
