cummins cowboygetting started???
I would like to start out building a cartridge collection, so my question is what is the best way to get started, I would like to build up a military collection at first, as it seems easiest. But what is the best way to buy cartridges one at a time, and what are the best sources to buy from??

Go to this site. On the forum you'll see a recent post on starting a collection of WWI cartridges. The answers to that Q will be a big help.

Ray is right on the money on that one.
The best place to start is to bug your friends for shells they shoot that you dont have.
I thought I had a good collection and I did
for the most basic, but I went to my first cartridge show and I was a baffled and humbled collector.
There are so many out there that you will never get all the head stamps.
The longer you collect the more expensive it will get so If you really grt into it, it will be your showcase. Start at the gunshows first
and have at it and keep a detailed record of what you have. You would be amazed at how many
excellent cartridges were extinct by being ahead of thier time.
