Shikar Safaris??
After much saving, I have embarked on figuring out who to hunt with for marco polo in Kyrgyzstan.

Shikar Safaris has been recommended by a couple of booking agents that I have contacted.

Good choice? Better choices out there?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Profi-Hunt.On 5 mountain hunts they havent let me down.I think marco polo in Kyrgz is such a better value. We were in valleys with 200 sheep
while hunting Ibex. One in our groop killed a huge Marco polo on the first day.We saw many sheep in the vally every day while climbing for ibex.Your contact for Profi -Hunt is Dennis Shadow

I'm headed there with Renaud of Seladang in a couple weeks. I booked the hunt through our own Arjun Reddy (reddy375). I will post a full report when I return.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

I would also contact Bryan Martin he has it together. He just sent me a photo of a giant ibex that he just killed in Kyrgyzstan and a few big tur from azerbaijan.
I would never ever consider hunting with Profi-hunt we had the worst hunt ever thru them. Our hunt for mid-cauc tur was so bad that I don't know where to even begin.
Stick to Shikar or Bryan Martin!!

I had a absolutely fantastic trip with Profi-Hunts in krgyzstan 2010. Shot a wonderful Marco Polo and a very nice Ibex. Sorry you had a bad hunt Jim, I think it's possible to have a bad experience with any outfitter depending on the area, timing, year, expectations, etc. That said, things can change in a hurry with the various outfitters and a more current report might be more reliable.

I had several very nice trips with profihunt also, but profihunt now and profihunt two and more years ago this is big difference.

Hunt Atillas with Khan some years back near Antalya, but never with him outside Turkey. Know people who have and were - pricey but access to top spots.
