duggaboybuffMongolian Ibex Febuary/March?
anybody hunted Mongolia in Febuary/March? I know it will be cold, however I believe that the hides are much more attractive and the Ibex are lower down than usual. Any advice appreciated.

silkibexThere's some big event in Mongolia in Feb/March where most of the population is drunk for several days (probably including guides). Hides are more attractive but will also detract a bit from the horns (body will appear larger in relationship to the horns). Don't know about Mongolia, but March can be a wonderful time to hunt in Kyrgyzstan--cold, but clear and fresh. Animals will be down lower, especially if snow is atarting to melt.
