Renaud has been arranging Maral hunts in Kazakhstan for many many years and here is some footage to prove it. This is an amazing hunt in wild, remote country.
In 8-10 days of hunting you will get a chance at a good stag. The density is not huge as the winters are very severe in those parts! Its a tough hunt which will be remembered forever.

Looks like a lot of larch and aspen there, or more likely birch of some kind. Boy I'd like to hunt those big boys -- and in Mongolia if not Kazakhstan.

Bill, There used to be a lot of Maral in Mongolia not so anymore. The Altai Maral also have the largest antlers.
