Ahmed SultanNot legally. When we were there, the local outfitter offered us to hunt Markhor and take the skin / horns home declaring it as Ibex, we just laughed at him but he was serious!

Kathi http://www.mbogo.net/asia.htmlI thought Pakistan was the only country where Markhor could be legally hunted.

Oryxhunter1983Well remember, just because you can't import it into the US doesn't mean it's not legal. I would hunt and shoot one and leave it if the price wasn't too bad.. Plus thats always a bargaining chip, less money bc you can't take it back.
Get an awesome pic, goes towards ovis and sci books!

I just spoke with my friend Bryan of Asian Mountain Outfitters about this information and he told me that a long time ago they were able to hunt Markor for none american clients but that has since change and that they only offer limited hunts for them in Pakistan now. hope that helps
