Can the Sloth Bear be Hunter and if so where and How. Are they protected.

The Sloth bear was placed on cites appendix 1 in 1990 and all hunting for this species ceased.

Nepal was the only country allowing hunting of this bear prior to 1990. India has a good population of these bears but unfortunately has a very anti hunting stance.

Thanks for the info, I saw a show on this bear and was wondering ,
I guess I was born 50 yrs too late for alot of good animals to hunt.

Not only anti-hunting stance, but everywhere you go you see assholes with dancing sloth bears that look really miserable. So hunting is out of the question, but feel free to capture cubs and turn them into circus animals. Not that it's legal, but I see some screwed up priorities here.
