Charlie64Ibex Kyrgyzstan - this time next week !

This time next Saturday we will be in Bishkek!
And on Monday 19th, we drive to the Tian Shan to hunt two ibex!
Really excited about this hunt!! First time Asia, first time high mountains, first time goats!

I am a little envious. Goat hunts are great. I should have been in BC, Canada this month for Mountain Goat but had to postpone. Recent knee surgery has set my fitness back a bit and needs more healing time.
Wishing you the greatest luck and enjoyment. High country hunts are very special. I know in due course we can expect some fabulous hunt photos here !!!
Hunting.... it's not everything, it's the only thing.

Big Wonderful WyomingA buddy of mine is on a huge team of folks going from Australia in October. I don't know any of the details, but one guy has been 3 times.
1st time, got snowed out at the airport and never left Bishkek.
2nd time, spent 2 weeks in jail (got treated wonderfully, it was a political stun).
3rd time killed a 45 incher.
Not sure there would have been a 3rd time for me.

I guess the most amazing part of your post is not that your friend killed a 45”er but that he returned for a third trip!
