nubeStaying over in Turkey after a hunt
What needs to be done to legally stay over in Turkey with guns after a hunt in another country? I imagine it is not legal to take with you and there must be a way for the police or an outfitter to secure them for you to be able to stay over and do some touring for a few days. Any info would be great.
Thanks

No information from me
But I highly recommend staying for 3-4 days in Istanbul. The city is the most beautiful place I have been too.

dogcatI had not issues keeping the guns at the hotel when I stayed over. Check with your outfitter. Most of those guys are well connected in the touring business.
Istanbul is amazing!

COYOTE HUNTERI hired a tour guide who was well versed in the process.
He met me inside the terminal and escorted me to a police room where they store firearms. I filled out some paperwork and left my rifle there.
When I came back 2 days later he led me through the airport back to the police room and I picked up my rifle there and checked it in.

nubeAnyone have a recommendation of someone that can help once we arrive? I have a friend who wants to hunt in Kyrgystan and then stay over in Istanbul on the way home is the reason I am asking.

COYOTE HUNTERI used Istanbul for Hunters.
It was arranged through Steve at Travel with Guns.
They have a website.
