Hunting Organizations?
Just wondering ya'll's thoughts on some of the hunting orgs out there. Particularly Delta Waterfowl and Ducks Unlimited. I've recently seen the Delta Waterfowl Videos on Youtube, and I like what I've seen. I think I may well get involved, but I was wondering if any of you already have experience with them. Are they legit?
I used to be a fan of ducks Unlimited, but they were pushing some legislation that would have seriously hurt the local rice farmers so they lost out on my support. Mad It would seem that rice farmers and waterfowl conservationists should have a lot in common, but not in that case. A couple of my close buddies (whose families farm rice) were quite pissed with DU. I don't remember the exact issue myself. I'm sure they do a lot of good in most areas, but I'm for farmers.

We don't really have any upland bird hunting here (other than doves), but I'd be glad to learn about some of those orgs as well.

Delta Waterfowl is an excellent organisation. For one thing, they are working to address one of the major impacts on waterfowl that most other organization want nothign to do with, namely, predator control.

Delta Waterfowl is a good organization to support.
