Actually, I used 3" and even 2.75" shells in the 12 gauge, and I still had significantly better range and knockdown power than with steel 3.5" 12 gauge, and somewhat better than with lead. The 3.5" 10 gauge loads really reached out, but the range and power of even the 2 3/4" 12 gauge shells was really impressive.

I really like the stuff.
