Waterfowling:
Last year I did fairly well shooting 1oz#6@1050fps with my favorite 16ga. This year I see 1-1/4@1300fps available. I don't have a chart infront of me and am wondering if I went with #4s in the larger payload would the actual amount of shot be about the same? Or for the sake of pattern density stick with #6? This is always a dilema?

Andy, not quite sure about pellet count but pattern density is important, very important. High velocity loads tend to 'blow' a pattern. I use a 1oz load of #4's in a 12ga for Egyptian geese and the same load with #7's for everything else. Also depending on shots fired the heavier load will be felt more than the lighter one. WinkForgot to add my loads are doing around 1170fps.

drewhenrytnt ... talking non-toxic shot.
(Waterfowl in USA can only be taken with non-toxic shot)

lal ... talking lead shot.
(pretty sure South Africa does not have shot restrictions like we do)
