ClarkRobert [Bob, Mack} Mackness died on Goose hunt Saturday
My friend of 26 years died while fetching two geese just shot on Saturday.
He picked up the first goose and waived his arm triumphantly, but fell down before reaching the second.
He died of heart failure.
He was 58.
He had emigrated from the UK to the US and was principal scientist at Boeing.
He was looking forward to retiring and having a second career as a biologist.
He will be missed and remembered.

30 Caliber Mag FanClark-
My condolences to you and Mr. Mackness' family.
I have to say, he left enjoying a passion; not a bad way to go.

TrapperPI'm new to this part of ACCURATERELOADING and this is the sort of thing I dislike reading about. But it brings to mind a trip I made with my father seveal years before he passed away. We hunted until about 9:30 and he told me we had to leave as he had a Dr's appointment! We went into the Dr's office in camo and hip boots. When he was called back I went with him. The Dr asked what we were about and Dad told him we had been goose hnting. The Dr told Dad "I guess we'll bring you in from the field dead someday." Dad pointed his finger at him and told him, "When you do, you tell everyone that asks that I died happy!" Maybe this would not be a bad way to go?
Condolences to the family and may you have fond memories of your friend forever.
