partriges of argentina

Hunting partriges is a great tradition in my family since hundreds of years ,we use to hunt them in Europe and now here in Argentina.My father took me to hunt them since i walk ,he was a great fan and always have the best english pointers ,and spaniel bretons ,i remeber walking behind him ,and admire his shooting with his old handmade ou 16.

Great post Juan.

If you guys upland game lovers want to experience one of the toughest hunts, try to go after the red winged tinamou with a english pointers that have good genetics. These birds just won´t stop running, only at the last minute they get covered and flush, if the dog does his work right.

Reiter dear friend ,yes hunting red wings in wet terrain and tall grass is winderfull ,montaraz in the bush ,is very difficult ,but the partriges of LOS ANDES MOUNTAINS -i never hunted them-are the most difficult ,they live high ,you have to shoot at long distance and the terrain is difficult for the dogs ,REITER YOU ARE INVITED HERE AS MY GUST TO HUNT PARTRIGES.Juan
