I would suspect they are parrots. I went to the USAF Jungle Survival School in Central America and after we finished we were invited out sample the local shooting. The fringes of the "jungle" were full of some very large and very colorful parrots and one of the fellows with me remarked it was like shooting crows in clown costumes. The bigger ones were very difficult to kill with just one shot and you learned very quickly not to try and pick up one that wasn't dead as the beaks are very powerful.

Yes, those are a small parrots called cotorras. They build huge nests of twigs in the towers of the power lines and wreak havok in assorted other fashions. They can be shot no limit just like the doves.
I just got off the phone with one of my guides in the field and spoke to the 2 hunters that are with him now. They shot over 160 geese yesterday between the 2 of them.
Bird shooting in Argentina is the greatest!
