HammerThe Proper Load
Why isn't the proper load for all bird hunting a two-ounce load of shot from a Magnum 10 ?

johnchBecause I preferr my birds not so prechewed.
I also like my shoulders not to touch after a day in the feild.
Why beat yourself with a 10 gau and 2 oz when a 28 and 3/4 oz will do ?

With that logic we would all be tempted to use 243 or 270 Winchesters on whitetail deer instead of the 375 H&H or 458 Lott.

Actually you'll generally have less meat damage on deer using a 375 H&H than a 270 or 243.
As for a 2oz. 10 gauge for an upland load I would wager the missed shots would increase substantially.
