By nature I'm quite peaceloving, but after reading your post I want to change a few famous words:
"An eye for an eye!" to something like:
"A high spine/neck shot with a .22LR for the ba$3%@d who shot my dog!". Hpoe your new dog lives up to your highest expectations.
