Kamo GariWY bird hunting
Any help/leads on DIY NE WY bird hunting appreciated. May have some free time during an antelope trip, and just in case we get lucky early, was wondering if there might be anything else to chase. I think there are grouse seasons open...
TIA for any help.

ELKMAN2If you are on private land you may have some luck. The sharptail season is open, Sage grouse should have just closed. Be prepared to walk a long way between flushes. There are some pheasants also in the area but they are widly spaced..There are lots of goats, although I feel the trophy quality is not as good this year, I looked at a bunch yesterday and saw nothing I wanted to shoot,I can just keep looking!

DutchShould have lots of opportunity for Blue and Ruffed grouse. Blues on tall mountains, ruffed in aspen along creeks. Also, huns around agricultural areas. Check regs before proceeding.... HTH, Dutch.

ELKMAN2I agree about the ruffed and blue, except there arn't any mountains in NE Wyoming. I shot some ruffed last weeks south of Jackson, 7000ft+
