Miles and Miles Dove Hunting?
Any insight on dove hunting with Miles and Miles in Córdoba, Argentina? Considering a trip in May of this year and thinking about them and a couple others. Any experience with them or anyone else in that area would be appreciated.

Yes, I've shot with Miles & Miles many times, maybe 4 or 5, I can't remember.

They have a very nice lodge and drives are not bad the longest perhaps 30 minutes.

I have always taken my own guns, but I have not been in a while and I understand the new import procedure for guns in Argentina is now more difficult. I think there are ongoing efforts to change this issue.

Also, I would not recommend traveling through Santiago as we had gun issues there even though the guns were always in transit. Take your time and fly to BA and spend one night there.

Dick and Nick Miles and their father Peter are great guys and they have a long history of putting on good shoots. Some of our shooters who were using Miles' guns had issues with their loner guns. This situation has probably been rectified, but I'd check with them beforehand.

Hope this helps...

This is an accurate reflection of the operation. It's a beautiful lodge, great hunting, wonderful food, and an awesome staff. I go about 4-5 times a year. I never bother bringing guns. The current rental guns are Beretta A400 and Browning O/U in 20 and 28.

May is a wonderful time to go.

Thanks for the replies. I've just booked with them. It's my first Argentina bird hunt and really looking forward to the experience.

Good luck- you'll have a great time! Are you taking your own guns?

No, based upon what I've read about the challenges in getting firearms into Argentina, I'm just going to use one of theirs. Miles and Miles had a DSC show special at 4 nights, 5 hunting days, 1000 free shells, free gun rental, and free hunting license for $2400.00 Too sweet of a deal to pass up!
