Season is over!!!
We don't know whether to be sad or glad, kind of exhausted after the last two weeks.

Here are some pics of the last days for us.

Although geese are around by the thousands our spot is kind of tough for them. Number three of four for the season.

The next pics are of the last two days at my brothers blind, one of the last blinds to freeze on the Susquehanna River.

Mallard and Black on the next to last day.

We see Pintails about once every two to three years. Next to last day in the evening.

Last Day!!

Blue bills never venture this close to our blinds, but I guess they were curious today. No shot here!

Pintails again, I took a bull last evening. My partner got one this morning. Took this picture and then called my Taxidermist(brother) to see if wanted one. "Affirmative", one for the shop coming up.

The last minutes of our season, it is 11am, 16 degrees, wind about 20mph. Canceled plans to hunt the pm. Took this picture and went home!!

After duck hunting 30 yrs I finally got two banded Mallards. We have looked at the legs first for twenty years and finally got two in one year.

See you next year.

Dulcinea and gang.

Dulcinea,
What state are you hunting in? Thanks for the pictures. Looks like you have a good spot.

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Fine looking sprig, and sounds like a great time, even if it's a bit warm down your way... Smiler

Yea, it was a little too warm. Around zero is best for a few hours, my partner was leaving for our deer camp and I was not going to take any rookies out in that weather. Plus, not going by myself.

Hey Keith nice pics and good looking hunts.
This season is almost over for the geese and we still haven't hunted together.
I'll try and give you some heads up if I have another good field hunt lined up.

I think so Keith in an old PM. I have guys from the Sportman Channel coming to film an episode Fri. and Sat. so I will be scouting hard this week for hot fields.
