Doves or Pheasant Hunt in California, where to go
Can anyone point me to a public access area for shooting doves and/or pheasants this coming weekend (thanksgiving) ? Would like to keep it around 2 hours or less driving from Los Angeles.

Forget the doves and pheasant and go look for California quail or Gambels quail. Excellent year for quail on USFS and BLM lands.

There used to be great quail hunting all around Lake Elsinore where im at. Still a few places to go. Damn houseing developments the last few years have ruined the area though
