Fort robinson Nebraska turkeys
Anyone ever hunted Fort Robinson for turkeys in the Spring ?

We went to Nebraska last year in the "spring" to hunt. It snowed like crazy. As i recall, it was near Atkinson. There were a hell of a lot of birds. We saw a lot of birds from Sioux Falls all the way to the hunting area.

I hope to go back this spring.

Twilli,
We bowhunted turkeys there about 5 years ago or so, we stayed in the
old barracks/officers quarters which were surprisingly nice. Plenty of turkeys, but like most birds their numbers
can be seasonal.
Overall, a very good experience.

Never hunted turkeys up there, but have hunted deer, it is fantastic country and well worth the trip up there.

Even the rocks don't last forever.

Merriams, not sure if Rios intersect that far west. Plan on doing a DIY and bring my mulse to ride a little further in, hopefully avoiding some traffic.

Lot of history in Fort Robinson. Your mules wont be the first ones there.

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.
