7X47 LOAD DATA
CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME LOAD DATA AND INFO ON THIS CARTRIDGE? I HAVE A XP 100 IN THIS CALIBER.
I'M GOING TO USE IT FOR IHMSA.

This should be the same as 7TCU. Basically a 223 necked up to 7mm. Plenty of data availble for the TCU. I'd start with the minimum loads for that and work up carefully.

6x47 and 7x47 are derived from the 222 Remington Mag case and not 223. Capacity is very close to the TCU based cases, so TCU load data will be usable.

The link posted by Ted68 is for the 6.5x47 Lapua.
That is a completely different cartridge than the 223 and 222 Remington Mag. It has a much greater capacity.

KEN ROBINSON:
Just "Google" for 7TCU, 6.5TCU, or 6x47.
The TCU's are based on the 223 and the 6x47 or 7x47 are based on the 222 Remington Mag.
Capacity of these is nearly identical with the Mag being 2mm longer and holding a few grains more of powder.

I've had rifles and pistols chambered in all of these variations.

The TCU's are still popular in IHMSA, so if you go to a silhouette site and post, you should have no trouble finding load data.

Sorry, I must have had a blond moment. Don't know what I was thinking. Yep, the 6.5x47 is almost identical to the 22-250 case. Don't pay attention to that data. homer
