MADDOGSuper Red Hawk
I have a suoer red hawk in 44 mag.. Inherited... Is there a way that I can figure the year of manufacture? Will the serial number do it? Thanks Maddog

Jackson67Look on Ruger's website. It is there somewhere, a list of serial numbers and what year each was made.

Ske1eterIt can't be *that* old. If I was to guess, they haven't been around for more than 20 years or so. I'd just go shoot the heck out of it as it can't have much collector's value. And it is a very robust piece.
I have a .480 Ruger in a Super Redhawk and love it and would consider getting one in .44 Mag.

TCLouisGo to double action revolver and then to Super Redhawk and you should e able to find the serial number and year of manufacture.
http://www.ruger.com/service/productHistory.html# Should be no collector value, but they are not cheap to buy. Go to AuctionArms or Gunbroker auction site for current pricing.
