Sources for 45 cal ram rod
I am looking at possibly buying a 45 cal flintlock long rifle. It is missing the ram rod. The gun was nicely completed from a Pedersoli kit.

The first one is just a loading tip; you want a Jag, which not only is rounded for the ball but holds the cleaning patch. I leave these on all my ramrods even though they stick out beyond the muzzle. Ain't broke one off yet.
And your ramrod must fit into your rifle thimbles; most are 3/8ths, but I don't know what Pedersoli used.
Made man ramrods over the years. Ash rods. Do not use anything else; they will break and go through your hand, which is bad. I also have fiberglass rods which I use for cleaning at home. And loading on the range. I do not use the one in the rifles for much. Just loading in the field, which is rare. After all, you only need to shoot once.
Just saw the one from TOTW; they are 9mm. Order a cleaning jag with it.

Tom, go to page 2 or 3 for the ram rods.
