I just finished building these two 10 Bore Purdey Style Double Rifles:

Both rifles weigh around 13.5 pounds. Both have 26" Barrels, both are iron mounted furniture, both are oil finished and Semi-Flattop Checkered.

Both are regulated for 50 yards, 250grs FFg Goex and Patched Roundball.

The maple stocked rifle is Rust Blued with CCH Locks, Hammers and Tang.
The walnut stocked rifle is Rust Browned with CCH Locks and Hammers.

whats the inside specs of the bore ?
Is it true 10bore diameter ?

They are true 10 Bore, .775" Bore diameter and .795" Groove diameter.

I like the 10 bore or I should say 10 gauge .
The heaviest loads I shot was 1311gr or 3oz @ 1250 fps . don't know how that compares recoil wise to the rifle 10 bore but the recoil was violent in a 10lb gun with a 36" barrel but it had a awkward shaped stock .

where do you get 10bore rifled barrels ? ive looked and couldn't find them

I get the barrel blanks from Joe Williams, The Gun Works Muzzleloading Emporium(Oregon Barrel Works). Joe custom makes them for me.
