Cast Performance in a Muzzle Loader
Have any of you guys tried Cast Performance out of your muzzle loaders. They make a .50 cal and I believe its .498. I have a black diamond and I was wondering if it could be done. I have used their bullets in a 44 mag and have had great results on paper and shooting them at game.

I've shot paper with the 300gr 44cal cast performance bullets with a sabot from a 50 cal black diamond. Accuracy was satisfactory.

Don't have any experience with their regular conicals, just bullets in plastic sabots.

I shoot the 400 grain 45 caliber WFNML's with sabots in my 50 White Whitetail muzzleloader occassionally. It is the LBT heat treated solid version. They shoot exceptionallly well with the 1 in 24" fast twist. Use these on big bears and elk, and they give 48" of penetration, and a huge wound channel. I want to take it/them to Africa next trip and try on everything up to eland.
