TundragrizBlackpowder in Albuquerque area
OK, I'm going to be flying into ABQ for a flintlock hunt. I just called Charlie's, Peterson's, Shooters Den, and Sportsman Warehouse, they all said there is no blackpowder in town.
Anyone know where the nearest blackpowder may be?
Thanks

sharpsguytundragriz--Nobody wanted to help, so I suggest you go straight to the top.
Call Coonies' Blackpowder in Hobbs, NM. Their number is (800) 713-6321, or (505) 393-6060. They are a Master Distributor for Goex, and handle other brands as well. They have what you need, and will also know of anyone locally that will have it. Get Coonie himself on the phone, and tell him Bill in east Texas told you to call him. He will fix you up.

lundboatI'm flying in for a blackpowder hunt as well. I did not trust that what I need will be there, so I ordered up from Cabela's and it is being shipped to my outfitter as a gift.
Don't know if you have someone you can ship to or not in ABQ, but this may help. Cabela's seems to have stock on some stuff right now...
Best of luck on your hunt,
Mike

TundragrizThanks for the replies.
Thanks Kynoch, I would take you up on the offer but all is finished now, especially for a teaspoon of 4F for in the pan.
Apparently Hobbs (extreme SE corner of state) is the only place in NM that has black. Used T7 in the bore instead of black. Really didn't expect a problem as black is readily available all over here in Pa.

NobadeRon Peterson's gun shop usually has some in stock. His prices are high, around $24/lb, but he normally has it.
