I'm finally getting to go hunting! I have to get my Knight Disc back in order. My problem is I can't remember if I can shoot 150 gr of 777 or not. My original Disc could only shoot 100gr. I sold it and got this one (realtree stock and SS barrel) I thought it was called the "Disc Magnum" but I can find no markings on it as such. Any help on identification would help, thanks.

Hodgdon does not recommend 150grn of 777 from any MLer. The 150 "Magnum" loads are mostly refering to Pyrodex in most manufacturers MLers.

Have you seen the new 777 "Magnum" pellets? They are supposed to increase velocity yet still only require two 50 grn pellets. Something around 2000fps with 250s I believe was the advertisement.

A quick call to Knight is probably your best bet.

Definitely not 150 grains of Triple 7 !!!! My Knight likes 90 grains of 3f Triple 7. Plenty of boom for me.

I have a Disc Extreme best accuracy is with 100 gr of loose 777. Warning !!!! I tried 3 pellets of triple 7 and cracked my breech plug, 150 gr is too high.

Looks like 100grs it is!

This is what 80 Gr of T7 and a 300 Gr Hornady 44 cal XTP in a Knight Disc Elite will do for you at about 80 yds:

It is perfectly safe to use 150 grains of T7 pellets in some muzzleloaders. Barnes has ballistics data on their site for these loads in all bullet weights. http://www.barnesbullets.com/images/MuzzleloaderData.pdf
