Sudden loss of accuracy in 45 cal Traditions.
I have a Traditions .45 cal muzzle loader. I got it out to start getting ready for fall deer season. It shot some extremely tight groups and then all of a sudden, they were all over the place. I can't get anything to shoot a tight group now. I have a cheap Bass Pro scope on it and I suspect the innards are coming loose. What do you think?

Oh, I've cleaned it well. The barrel looks great and it still shoots erratically. What do you think, scope?

Everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Sounds like a broken scope to me!

I'm betting on the scope.

How does the target look, are the holes all over the place or is there a trend in a particular direction?

Does it have sights? Maybe remove the scope and shoot half a dozen rounds at a 40 yd target with just the sights, that would confirm the scope unless you have an extra laying around to swap over.

Lastly, my all guns started shooting much better after I switched to decaf, for some strange reason......

Remove the scope and shoot with the iron sights. That should answer the question quickly.
