Scott
It's been done, using only one lock. The lock was mounted on a rail, and multipal flashholes were put through the barrel. Re locate the lock after each shot. I can't find it in my referance libary right now, but (failing) memory says it was a wheellock.
I did run across photos/referance to a revolver with 5 chambers and 10 nipples that would fire 10 rounds without reloading (similar idea, stacked charges seperate ignition points)

meteI have a photo here of a four shot gun by Jacaud, London 1820. It has 4 flintlocks and the trigger slides along to fire each lock. 'Guns and Rifles of the World' Blackmore

ASS_CLOWNTailgunner & mete,
Gentlemen thank you for the comments. That is the exact same description the "madman of the west" gave me. By the way, the reason for the post was based upon that description. He was speaking of a triple lock single barrel system whereby he could outperform my double rifle in rapid fire shooting (for three shots anyway).
Thanks again.
Have a great Thankgiving.
