sheephunterabHard to beat the T/C Omega for price and quality.
I'm currently using a T/C Omega as well. very easy to clean, accurate, and not too picky with different loads. JMHO

cooperjdif money is not the issue, i'd probably go with the t/c encore pro hunter. you may want a rifle barrel one day to put on it, plus its probably a little easier to operate since its a break action, and not a drop action like the omega. i shoot an omega though, and absolutely love it.

george roofLMAO nordrseta, that's a gorgeous piece. HOWEVER, for utility, I'd suggest the T/C Encore Pro Hunter as well.

Redhawk1The TC Encore Pro-hunter and Omega are both very good muzzleloaders, I also like the Savage smokeless. No need to spend thousands of dollers to get a good muzzleloader.

Truth be told I own a 209x50 Encore myself, and both my rocklocks combined cost but a small fraction of the Kettenburg showpiece. As others have suggested the Encore (or the G2) can transformed into a pistol, rifle, 22, or shotgun with a credit card.

UnderclockedYou should contact Bob Bowers, aka Super91, and buy one of his White .504 Super91 models. They are mahvelous.
If you ONLY want to use the rifle as a muzzleloader, an Encore is probably not the best choice.

lhotaali ended up picking up the t/c encore pro hunter with the thumbhole stock...shot 3 inch groups at 100 yards with iron sights...picking up a scope next weekend...happy with the choice
Be certain to thoroughly clean and lubricate the firing pin/bushing assembly after each use. I had a one time problem with corrosion/sticking firing pin. When the pin sticks in the out position, opening the gun involves a struggle. Luckily it was a one shot kill. I thought my cleaning was complete, I was wrong.
