Blackpowder fox hunting
Heres a pic of a fox that came into a whistle.
The gun is a 50 TC Renegade. Do you guys use any special bullets for small game or just blast them with whatever you are currently using for big game.
Cheers

VersifierA prb is generally the choice for small game with a big bore (flatter trajectory & greater range), but when opportunity knocks....If you have a deer load and you're all sighted in, why not?
If I were deer hunting, the guys I hunt with would be a little upset if I shot a fox, or anything else that wasn't a deer (though I think I could successfully argue the case for shooting a coyote). If I were alone I'd have a more liberal attitude.

OhiosamA few years ago in ML season after I tagged out I was doing some pushing for a friend. I started through my neighbors woods and just as I got to my propery line my buddy shot. When I got to him he'd shot a very prime coyote.
So he posts at the end of the next patch of woods and just as I walk in I jump a red fox. He ran past my buddy too but this time he missed. Some of the most fun I've had deer hunting without shooting deer!!
Probably the best hunting experiences of my life were when I would take off with a 40 cal flintlock that I built. I'd take enough powder etc. for 20-30 shots and go out just looking for cottontails and spend an entire day out looking for them. Hell I need to do that in the next 3-4 weeks.
