GonHuntinfilled my buck tag
Shot this one last week during Oklahoma's muzzleloader season.......shot was 140-150 yards.....9 points, 23" outside, 21" inside and weighed right at 170 dressed.
Used my 50 cal. Remington 700 ML, 100 grains 777, Hornady high pressure sabot, 250 grain "surplus" poly tipped bullets from LS&B (same as TC mag tip express)......
He was chasing a doe and headed straight away.....thought I might have to do a Texas heart shot, but the doe stopped, then he stopped and turned his head to look back at the does that were following......I managed to slip a bullet in just behind the shoulder and it was recovered in the neck on the opposite side.....

groundhog devastationGH, Way to go!! P.... tends to get them big dogs killed!!! My favorite shot of all time was the one in GA with his nose up a doe's tail and sticking his nose up in the air with his lips curled(like a bull does with a cow in heat)! A 117 grain Sierra into his neck made him think(no, on second thought, he didn't have time to think!)that's the stinkenest thing I ever smelled!
