MLKeithI have the .25ACP conversion for my stainless .50cal Omega. I really like it for two reasons. I believe that the 209 primer is way too hot for most muzzleloader uses. I also like the handling of the .25ACP brass over the smaller and harder to handle 209 primers. It is a lot easier to prime and deprime using the longer brass. It is also possible to control the primer energy as you can use small rifle standard primers or magnum primers depending on what your rifle, powder, bullet combination likes the best. Some claim accuracy improvement but I cannot make that claim yet. I see little difference in accuracy but the 777 crud ring is definately less with standard rifle primers over using the 209 primers.

Redhawk1I have one and have been using it for over a year now. I think it is a very good idea. My accuracy has improved, and I do not get the crud ring. Also like stated above, it is a lot easier to load the 25ACP. The 209 are just way to small. I highly recommend the 25 ACP breech plug.

How much did your accuracy improve? I have just started playing with a .50 Encore. I get big swings in accuracy. Using Pyro pellets, 2 50's and T/C 250 grn spire points. some groups have been around 1 inch at 100. Others on the same day, same components are 3+.
