boltshooterA Good Ramrod
Just info.
There are many ramrods available for traditional muzzleloading rifles, wood, aluminum, fibregalss.
I just recieved a custom made ramrod for my double .58 rifle. It was made by periodramrod.com. It has the looks that befit a traditional rifle, with the durability of the other materials used for ramrods. It has a 3/16" steel core inserted in wood. The tips are screwed to the inner core. It is described as the "virtually indestructible" ramrod.
For myself the manufacturer custom made a tip (based on the minie bullet I sent him) that accomodates the minie and incorporates the cleaning jag. Each rod end is threaded to accept accessories.
If you're looking for a good field rod that looks good & you can depend on this is it.
