fireball10xHornady FPB
Anybody try these yet they look pretty good .No sabot and no plastic skirt like powerbelts it is like the maxi balls from the civil war only copper with a plastic tip and a copper skirt and it's supposed to get better penetration than the powerbelt with the same easy loading

BoarmanTried them yesterday. I couldn't get them to load in my Austin & Halleck. My barrell was too tight. Finally had to have a buddy press on the starter ball, while I held the bullet square.
My friend shot them from his Triumph, it was his best group ever.
I am back to Power Belts

fireball10xWell I have 2 packs of the fpb's coming,I'll see how they shoot in my CVA Kodiak.I like the powerbelts but want more penetration, the powerbelts might work better with less powder maybe they wouldn't expand as much and get better penetration but I'd like to keep the speed for a longer shot, and sabots are hard to reload quick with a fowled barrel.Hope these work good.

fireball10xWell i shot them today out of my cva kodiak with a 150 charge.you have to start them with a ball starter because the end is flared slightly but after that the went down the bore nice and the first 2 shots were touching at 100 but 1 inch right so i adjusted and it shot 4 inches low but touching so adjusted again had and it hit 3 inches high but touching so adjusted again and hit a half inch bull well figured i got it so i loaded and fired again and missed the target.think it;s time for a new scope a nikon omega right now i have a cheap bushnell on there and it was acting weird last year so back to bushnell for repairs and new nikon on.

Rob1SGWhat kind of powder/ primer are you using. I have a Nikon Monarch 4X on my Knight Extreme, I have great confidence in it.

i'm using 120 grains of loose 777.I tried 2 dif primers a rem 209 and a federal 209.I'll try the new nikon it should be here in a couple days,I have a cheap bushnell banner on it now and something is wrong with the adjustments, last year I shot a deer with powerbelts and hit high and when i shot it at a target it was high so I readjusted it.THis timeit shoots right I adjust 2 clicks left and it shoots 4inches low, something is moving around in there.
