dgr416.54 cal sabots using .50 bullets hunted with them?
I have three Marlin .54 cal stainless inlines.i want to use them on moose.i have shot some loads with the 325 gr speer .50 cal bullets.What about using hornady xtp .50 bullets.I need more .54 cal sabots for .50 cal where can I get empty sabots.I have about 100 left need around 200 more.I shoot 100 grs of pyrodex with these bullets.

SakoL61RI'll 2nd the Harvesters. My friends and I have used them very successfully in our .54 and .50 cal muzzleloaders on elk for years. Very accurate and you will get complete penetration.

dgr416Whats your favorie .54 sabot bullet combo or just .54 cal bullet?I dont trust the cva bullets but what about other .54 cal full bore bullets for moose and bears?

Alaska Bush ManI use the 50 Cal Sierra 400 gr FN in my 54 cal with MMP sabots and 100 gr 777 2F for bear and moose
110 gr 7772F load using the 325 Speer HP....good bullet to in the 54 Cal.
