How will Quebec come down on this?

Our country, right or wrong. When right, to be kept right, when wrong to be put right.

Aspen Hill AdventuresI think Quebec has always wanted to be independent. I've spent time there and each time I never saw anyone flying a Canadian flag.

Such declarations are made out of ignorance. If western Canada doesn't like being governed by Ottawa, how do they think it would be to be governed by Washington DC? Do these people honestly think American governance would be altruistic? Bill

DC would be better than Ottawa and without Quebec…Western Canada could help bring back sanity to DC.

M.ShySooner or later Quebec will have another referendum for separation.
Last time that was pretty damn close
They would loose Labrador if they succeeded

Lane, there is no way that you believe that 12 million western Canadians would have any great influence on the 200 million who live east of the Mississippi, or the 100 million along the west coast.
I think the west might do well to separate from eastern Canada, providing they could do something about the sickness in southwestern BC. Joining the US would just be trading one set of chains for another, and that's a fact. Regards, Bill

labrador belongs to newfoundland since 1948 ...
they will loose the northern quebec called nunavik as it part of an agreement between ottawa quebec and first nations under james bay agreement and there will a part of st lawrence river going back back to the fed unless your country is taking quebec ... that will be a disaster for quebecers whatever the scenario is ...
