. . . on whether the Orange Jesus takes the stand in his trial. He has said he will . . . but he has said that before and never did. I will take the under on him taking the stand and facing the inevitable perjury charges once he starts lying under oath. Despite his love for the truth, his fear of being struck by lightning seems to make him reticent to put his hand on the Bible and swear an oath.
I will answer the prompt of the question. He does not take the stand.
Jury trials have not been good to President Trump. Although, he is now protected by a presumption of innocence that must be overcome by admissible evidence and any reasonable inference Ms there from by the burden of Beyond a Reasonable Doubt.
There is no gain in him opening his mouth. Thus, jeopardizing that presumption and burden of proof.
It he does take the stand, I expect he will ask to swear on one of his President Trumo signed edition Bible.

Seems VERY unlikely to me. In addition to his penchant for lying and his inability to focus on the question before him his mental deterioration would quickly become obvious and while there won't be cameras in the courtroom every fart and cough will quickly be reported extensively.
"If you’re innocent why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”- Donald Trump

I think, as long as he uses one of the signed, Donald Trump, Bibles, he should be OK. Bill.

You had me at make a bet. Assuming that he has hired attorneys that are not on the spectrum, there is no way he takes the stand.
A lawyer cannot stop his client from taking the stand.
A competent lawyer days in advance would put in a letter to his client why testifying is bad and admonish the client the record not to testify. However, the choice belongs to the client m. To tell a client he cannot testify will get you disbarred.

Of course you are right. The assumption is that any logical client will listen to his attorney.
