What an era.

Nations led by men with integrity, dignity, morals, honor.

Common men and families that understood and willingly sacrificed, served, donated, labored.

Armies willing to kill and be killed for each other.

Japanese and Germans were committed to their cause, committed to see it through to the end. American, Canadians, British were committed to their cause , committed to see it through to the end.

I believe we earthlings still have all the above still within us, but we're going to have to shout down the retards that give us Biden and Harris and Trump, "W", More, etc, to "Rule" us.

Everyone should walk the ground of the various beaches to appreciate the bravery of the men that stormed them. I have. Pointe du Hoc is particularly impressive. The invaders had to climb tall cliffs. The Germans had multiple M42's on top. When they got to the top of the cliff, there were thick rose hedges. Behind the front lines of the Germans were huge craters from the shells from the battlehips. Some concrete fortifications were tossed.

Those young men met the call of their country. They didn't ask for a "safe space" at a cushy liberal Ivy League college. They did their duty. What has happened to us?

All of those things are measured by polls that are matters of opinion, Nute.

My grandfather’s generation went over there as a matter of duty. Just like my generation went to Afghanistan and Iraq.

Soldiers don’t pick and choose the cause, that’s the politicians. Sometimes it’s a noble cause like WWII. Sometimes it’s for politics like Vietnam.

I don’t know if the better quality of life in Europe has more to do with expectations taught by the schools and a shared ethnic and cultural background that the government supports or what.

I do know that socialist Europe of today is much preferable to militaristic Germany of the 19th and 20th centuries for its neighbors and its youth.
