I read the article, mostly.

The thing I didn't see is some evaluation as to how much Trump's lies influenced outcomes.

IMO, that is practically everything.

The power of lies, how they are told, how often, who's telling, who's listening and believing, and who is supporting and parroting.

So, the left media focuses on truth and it's not as popular as Fox News, for example. Hey, the ratings say a lot.

What is the so-deemed left media supposed to do? Go for the ratings and lie? Or let the chips fall where they may and do their ethical journalism thing?

Well dickweed, there is no middle ground when it comes to cable news. There is Fox on the far right,MSNBC on the hard left. The rest are left leaning. No such thing as un-bias reporting. Even PBS has a progressive slant. When caught PBS puts a retraction on their web page, not an on air correction.

I agree with this. It also prevented a Dem primary which contributed to a Trump win.
