One minute the cop is talking to some kids about wearing their seat belts. The next minute, he is running to the sound of the shots with a rifle. Outstanding behavior, he is not waiting for help, he is not hesitating, he is running to put a stop to it.

There is a special place in hell for mass shooters. It's a shame that officer, or someone like him, wasn't in Uvalde also.

How far was his car from the shooter; looks like he ran quite a ways.

My wife and I were guessing nearly the full length of the Outlet, front to back. I can appreciate that he mentioned he was moving as fast as he could, but was out of breath and not moving that fast. Not knowing exactly where the shooter was, I can also appreciate his concern and caution. He did everything right in my opinion.

I heard from an ex-LEO who told me (and I can't confirm that) but he said the officer hit the shooter smack in the forehead with the first volley. Good for him.

I kept on thinking he was going to pass out but glad he got the job done.
