Far be it from me to defend the dunce but, it is true that the unconditional surrender of the Axis powers had to be negotiated. The result had to be brought about through discussion even if the Allied powers were dictating the content and manner of that discussion.

Mike, I watched the video and it seems to me that Vance wasn't talking about mere closing "discussion". He was talking about letting Putin reap rewards for his invasion, and called it negotiation.

So far, Putin has negotiated with bombs and bullets, seeking unconditional surrender. Every supposed summit negotiation has been accompanied with more bombs and bullets, while holding steadfast to demands, and the summits null.
