TumbleweedThe Trump/Musk conundrum, and possible explanation.
As we all know, Musk made a Herculean effort to get Trump elected. Since the election he never leaves Trumps side, sitting in on meetings, dining together, getting involved in the selection of cabinet members and virtually living a MaraLago, collecting on his support.
At the same time, Trump has been inexplicably ranting about Congo, that they’re emptying their prisons and sending murderers and rapists to the U.S. (of which there is no evidence whatever).
Coincidentally, Congo is the world’s primary (almost sole) supplier of Coltan, a rare mineral necessary for the production of cell phones, Star Link satellites and the batteries in electric vehicles. Whoever controls the Coltan production has tremendous power in the global economy.
Gee, you don’t think there might be a connection, do you? I wonder if it might not become necessary for the U.S. to bring freedom and liberty to the Congolese to protect Americas borders etc., sort of like it was necessary to protect Doles interests in El Salvador in ‘79.
