So far I haven't seen much news on this.

But I did see where the new Pope said he would step in for peace negotiations where Trump failed.

I would rather see the Pope get the peace prize and save the piece prize for Trump.

Give Trump the peace prize and let him retire.

To me, the Nobel peace prize has become meaningless. It hasn’t been awarded for really good reasons for quite some time.

Obama got it for what?

If it would get Trump to step down, it would be worth it to give him the super duper bestest greatest citizen of earth award.

Given that we have been one of the more militarily active powers over the last 50 or so years, the fact that Trump seemed to reverse that trend (even if by being somewhat wrongheaded) is more worthy than most of the awards.

I figure that you don't know that your post above is rich.

There are some parts that I agree with, but for the most part I take exception.

IF, Trump would be satisfied with receiving the peace prize, I would be okay with that, for what it's worth.

But there is no way Trump will move on or pivot given recognition. His narcistic character, combined with the Dark Tetrad character, will never be satisfied. Trump will never "step down".

However, let's assume that Trump's intentions are peace. If so, what's wrong with that?

The facts and circumstance doesn't support that presumption. The politics of humiliation re Zelensky, the parroting Putin's talking points, and a lot more indicate lack of good will.

But lasting peace would in itself be a prize. The new Pope may be the guy to achieve it.

The peace prize is not meaningless to Trump precisely because Obama got it.

And insofar as Trump reversing a militaristic trend, what's the military parade all about?
