Texas republicans double down on stupid
Just a few of the idiotic things Texas Republicans have been up to the last few days:

1. Banning CBD/THC products. A $5 billion dollar a year industry in Texas. Dan Patrick, our retarded Lt. Governor, has been claiming that kids are allowed to just walk into these stores and buy anything they want. A video of him entering a CBD store yesterday is circulating on the internet. The first thing that happened when he walked in was him being required to show ID.

The police chief of Allen, Texas also testified on the issue yesterday before the legislature and claimed that there have been multiple THC overdoses resulting in deaths in Texas. There have been zero such occurrences, not just in Texas, but in the world. You can't OD on THC unless you eat like a metric ton of it.

2. Flower Mound Republican congressman Brandon Gill introduced articles of impeachment in relation to the federal judge who issued the order requiring trump to stop deporting people without due process. Rather than just disagreeing with the decision and appealing it as the law requires, this ass-clown thinks the solution is to get rid of the judge he disagrees with.

3. Texas Senate putting prayer and the ten commandments in the classroom. King James version, of course. Because everybody is a Christian.

Tumbleweed
It looks like everybody is elbowing frantically to get into the Inner Circle.

It will very soon be dangerous to be anywhere else. It will either be “Jawohl, Mein Fuhrer” or condemnation to the wastelands.

The elected, at all levels, are casting their lots now that the coup is effectively complete.

Number 2 is especially unconstitutional, stupid, and exemplifies why so many Americans are stupid. They are kept stupid by those who cast fake images in the cave wall.

Flower Mound is a northern suburb of Dallas. The republicans regularly try to "out-conservative" each other up there and this is what you get when that happens. People that are not interested in governance but just stirring the cultural shit-pot. Like trump.

It is a stupid act be a a member of the Texas Legislature and all of state government cannot impeach a federal judge under our Constitution.

It is stupid because folks will see this action by the state legislature and believe that the judge can be so impeached or that the judge deserves to be impeached under our Constitution. Both are false as the S. Ct., Chief Justice partially pointed out.

It is an example of stupidity because the Texas legislature member knows better, but deciders to fool people. It is an example of stupid bc people who do not know, want bother to educate themselves will believe him while condemning those who tell the truth on the matter.

Again, it is a classic Allegory of the Cave.

To suggest someone who knows the legislator’s actions are worse than incorrect r under our Constitution should leave Texas is very small, uneducated response.

Everything anybody needs to know about it was encompassed in Chief Justice Robert's extremely unusual statement condemning it. As noted previously, the remedy if you disagree with a judge's ruling is an appeal. that's how our system works. It is called Rule of Law.

And, it is what trump and his minions are trying to destroy right now. trump thinks he is a king and that he can ignore court orders.

We'll see where it goes.

Yes, but others have a responsibility. The reason Trump is so politically powerful is for far too long and far too many have co-signed his destruction by not shoring the people such actions are both wrong and unconstitutional.

Instead, like this legislator, who knows better and has that responsibility he co-signs the destruction of our constitutional system with this legislation. Folks grab it as a sign from the mount that such an action is both appropriate and necessary.

The legislator is sure than stupid. He has engaged in the type of behavior that from the foundation up destroys this House upon a hill.

Those who give cover and support to this behavior are just as guilty.

He is pandering to his base. No doubt.

In doing so, he is dangerously diluting his base and taking a pick ax to the our constitutional foundation.

The point is that "stupid" isn't "very few and far between".

It is the basic problem with everything about Trumpism.

I don't say that lightly. https://youtube.com/shorts/Nt-...?si=Nh-842SGJdWQDg5c

I'm considering a new discussion dedicated just to stupid, not just in Texas but nationally.

Scary thing is if push came to shove how many SCOTUS judges would be on trump's side.
