Biden doesn’t want to go.

Trump is being himself, as the perfect arsehole.

IF next election the dims win again.

What will happen?

Trump had it all to himself when he won a few years ago.

But, as with everything he does, he FAILED!

We are watching, to see how the most vocal, corrupt, government system in the world would go. clap

Even Hollywood , in its weirdest ways, couldn’t have done this! rotflmo

Too many variables to predict.

Ideally Democrats win a substantial majority in the House and Senate, which would allow the expansion of the Supreme Court and the undoing of the damage done by these extremist, activist Federalist Society ideologues. If that happens I would expect them to increase the number of Justices to 13 to again match the number of Federal Circuit courts (how we got 9 to start with) but I consider that a mistake. It should be 27, sitting as either two Courts of 13 or three of 9, randomly selected after each case is granted cert, which should eliminate some of the partisanship and let cases be decided by what the Law and the Constitution require, not what a few billionaires financing the lifestyles of a few Justices prefer.

We would almost certainly see a restructuring of our tax structure to require the top brackets to actually pay taxes, maybe a reform of Social Security taxes to remove the cap and make that system solvent, some actual environmental progress and a badly-needed reform of our entire immigration system. Ukraine would get the resources they need to push the Russians out of their Country and they could join NATO and ensure they don't come back.

Probably more likely is that Democrats win the White House and the Senate, still narrowly, but fail to get a majority in the House, which would allow Republicans to block any effective legislation on anything for a few more years until the inevitable demographic shifts finally consign them to a permanent minority status. This inevitable fate is what has made them so desperate to seize power that they'll support someone as odious as Trump; it's literally their last chance.

If Democrats would do an effective job of making every American voter understand what the Republicans want to do, as laid out (partially) in the Heritage Foundation's 2025 plan the Republicans would lose in an avalanche but my faith in Democrats doing so is limited.

I would not be surprised to see the Republican desperation to seize power result in violence but without Trump's minions kneecapping all the security forces like was done on January 6th it will result only in a bunch of dead MAGAts and another batch in prison, neither of which would represent a great loss.

Trump will finally face justice for part of his crimes.

How about doing something really useful?

Like making lobbying illegal?

Disbarring tax evasion lawyers?

Fining military industries for charging silly money for things that cost a few dollars in the hardware store?

Well, "lobbying" covers an awful lot of ground, from the stuff that probably should get somebody a cigarette and a blindfold, like whoring yourself out to a foreign Country to place their interests above those of Americans inside the American government (how many lobbyists does the UAE have in the two dozen firms in the " Emirate Lobby"?) to farmer's organizations and groups who advocate for disabled children, all operating under the "freedom to redress grievances" in our Constitution.

I am in favor of jailing tax evaders and those who help them; we should already be doing that but Republicans in Congress are working hard to protect them, since it's apparently the God-given Right for a Republican to evade taxes.

Military procurement certainly desperately needs reform, starting with the massive "privatization" pushed through by Dick Cheney and his minions that replaced core functions previously done by the military with contractors so corporations could get more bites at the apple. That said, many of the most titillating tales of hammers and toilets that cost relatively astronomical amounts fail to consider that these are very low-volume and highly specialized items, not the hammer or toilet you can buy at the local hardware store, but those details would mess up a good story.

We have lobbyists because your corrupt system requires it.

No, it doesn't. If all you wanted was what is in the mutual best interest of our Countries diplomats can do that.

You only need lobbyists if you want things that are not.

Why do you allow bribes?

Basically, lobbyists and donations are nothing but legalized bribes!

You make Nigeria look like a heaven of legality! clap

Because the people making our Laws are who gets the bribes, between the people who interpret our Law getting theirs.

Here's the thing, Saeed. Joe Biden is the one candidate who Trump can beat, regardless of how much stupid shit he says or does. The Democrats are finally starting to admit this.
This makes your scenario extremely unlikely.
If Trump was to lose to Biden again, his response would be his usual petulant whining and tantrum throwing. The response by his worshippers is the problem. That is likely to be just as damaging to the US as is four more years of Biden.
In truth, if it is, once again, Trump vs Biden, there is no winning; the nation is screwed. Regards, Bill.

I look at it differently.

If Trump wins, and has a congress majority, all hell will break loose. The kraken will run amuck.

If Biden wins, especially with a congress majority, the kraken will still be there, moaning and smoldering. We will have more time to deal with the monster, four years at least. We have seen the tip of the dragon's tail for some time. But now it has exposed itself. we should recognize it for what it is.

Someone remind me if I am wrong.

In the past, both parties had majority, nothing useful came out of it.

Makes no difference who has the majority!

When Democrats have the majority we get things like Social Security and Medicare and the Affordable Care Act and job growth and infrastructure projects and reduced deficits.

When Republicans have the majority we get tax cuts for corporations and the rich and recessions and increased deficits and pestilence and Kid Rock, but I repeat myself.

You’re closer to right than wrong. Both parties are worthless bastions of fringe-driven politics. Hence nothing ever gets done.
