Republican Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz is under fire for using unauthorized images of two cisgender teenage girls in several campaign ads targeting transgender athletes.

The ads, which are part of Cruz’s multimillion-dollar re-election campaign against Democratic U.S. Rep. Colin Allred, criticize Allred for supporting policies that allow transgender athletes to compete in sports aligned with their gender identity. However, the Beaverton School District in Oregon, where one of the teens whose image appears in the ads attends school, has demanded Cruz’s campaign take down the ads.

“The family nor the school or school district ever gave permission for this photo to be used,” a representative from the Beaverton School District said in an email shared with The Hill. “It is alarming that your campaign would have produced/distributed/promoted this ad with false information, especially with minor children involved.” The Cruz campaign has yet to respond to this request.

I’m so damn ‘out of the loop’ I had to Google what cisgender meant. Roll Eyes

Turns out that nowadays the word ‘normal’ is offensive to some, so they had to invent a new word. I’m about to give up, I swear.

If you were a young fellow now and you wanted to ask some..thing..out, you’d have to turn it upside down first to see what you were getting yourself into.

Yes, his words were offensive. However, just like 4WD, we see folks on AR for what they are by their own words.

Oh, I know you belong to the group that says ignore what people say and do.

Heym, if the Democrats would just stop with the lunatic crazy ideas, but they don’t they double down. Diversity is not a strength. Unity and commonly held beliefs are strength. We can’t even agree on what a woman is

Tomahawker,
I have come to take them at their word. They are nuts. If you don’t believe it…listen to Gwen Walz talk about the riots in Mn. The lady certifiable.

You do realize we ARE a country made up of diverse people and views, don't you?

We do not have a common set of "beliefs", we are not a "Christian Nation".

Your posts perfect identifies the problem with the GOP, you want to shove YOUR version of what you THINK America should be down everyone's throat.

I suggest you go pound sand.

Allowing people to not be discriminated against based on gender is not lunatic. Currently, it is S. Ct., precedent.

It causes you no harm. There is no documentation nor reason that trans people in gender affirming bathrooms are any more dangerous than bathrooms now.

Folks need to quit being scared of other people’s gentiles.

Beyond that, gender dysphoria is a recognized condition w various degrees. I have no issue w gender affirming care. I agree SRS by law needs to happen w adulthood. Even President Regan acknowledged that sexuality develops at a young age. How old were you when you knew you liked girls. You may not have known what all the encompassed, but it was at an early age.

What is lunatic is treating this people in a manner that they must be removed for public, criminalized, and prevented.

Here is the big lie of all of this. If a trans person can pass. You would not care, would not know to care. We do not stand outside of bathrooms and let some judge who goes in based on attractiveness to the women’s bathrooms

The idea bathrooms are less safe bc of trans people are stupid.

Use whatever bather you want. Take the sogmd off.

My Pa never had to explain to me what the condemn machine was in a men’s public bathroom. No one threw a fit. Grow up.

Your advocacy and your beliefs is what a trans student after enforcing their rights in the courts was best to death by a bunch of “normal” people.

Spoken like a true 30 something liberal who has never had kid.

Yep…grow up is right. PLEASE take your own advice. And while you are at it…please try to learn some science. Right now you fit right into the rest of “the party of science.” 2020

Yawn.

Leave people alone.

Folks w kids are not scared either.

Talk to them everyday.

I bet your son knows what a rampion is for. If not school should have taught him in 6th grade sex class bc dad failed.

Funny, I am seeing a lot of either fended bathrooms and no increase in choke sex crimes.

Plenty of normal, conservative voting, folks getting charged w child sex crimes.

At least everyone here on this board has a clear picture that you are a big government liberal.

Hopefully you will quit lying to us that you are a conservative or anything remotely resembling a Libertarian. Big Grin

So it's "big government" to want the government to stay the hell out of people's private lives that don't affect anyone else but "small government" to post genitalia inspectors outside restrooms and track teenagers' menstrual cycles?

Because he is not a libertarian.

Yes I am a liberal. In the use of the works that I maximize the individual. That was the heart of classical liberalism.

I am actually more conservative than Dr. Easter bc I would prefer a Constitutional Monarchy, entire end to 18th-19th Century Federalism, and could be convinced to do away w legislatures.

If we just want to talk about theory.
