You have a point. My point was that even a pit-bull can be nurtured to be less aggressive than their nature would dictate otherwise, if started young. There are many examples in nature, with tigers, lions, jaguars, wolves, people with neanderthal DNA, jungle bunnies, (Whoopi) and so forth. There is one category within human nature, however, that apparently can't be nurtured despite their DNA. That's Trumpsters. One may therefore surmise that you are correct, to the extent of your personal experience and knowledge. Thanks for the refresher in definitions. "In political science, statism or etatism (from French état 'state') is the doctrine that the political authority of the state is legitimate to some degree." When I think about "state" I also include "nation state" for the broad concept. And to answer your question - no. IMO, it's a fact that we are all statist to varying degree. It's in our DNA. It's part of our evolved survival instinct. Some however go rogue, apparently their will, DNA endowed, forces them that way. Nurture is just pissing into the wind with those types. It's too late. Those convicted of crimes relating to 1/6 are prime examples. And furthermore, those lying about the convicts of 1/6 being political hostages and those believing that BS are also prime examples of going rogue, slaves to DNA, indoctrination and ideology, which makes free will null. They can NOT take another path. IOW, their free will has been compromised by their own doing, or default, and that's why they are so easily triggered by someone like Trump ************* Real conservatives aren't radicalized. I guess I'm pretty woke. I believe that no group should get special treatment just because they belong to a specific race or any other group. I believe everyone should be given the same opportunity to serve society in some capacity. I believe sexual preferences should be of no consequence in day to day life. In other words, sexual preferences are totally meaningless, to the point that acknowledgement is unnecessary. What I choose to do in the privacy of my bedroom, has no effect on my ability to perform various tasks. This means I should also expect no special treatment as a result of my sexual preferences. Strangely, the average heterosexual (normal) person, does not seem to feel the need to ask for special recognition of his or her status. Go figure. Anyway, I think I'm pretty woke. We enhance penalties in crimes all the time. You kill a child w intent, malice, you are subject to higher penalty than killing an adult. Or you kill a child bc you are texting and cross the centerline hitting another car, you are not subject to the same penalty as having killed that child w intent. There is no distinction in enhancing penalties bc you kill or assault someone based on the malice of ethnicity. We through statutes and common law have always taken the motivation of the crime into account. Tge malice is more when you assault someone based on ethnicity than for just a watch. | |||
